Celebrating Our 2026 Scholarship Winner
We are thrilled to announce that Emerly Castaneda has been named the 2026 scholarship recipient! Representing the Transitional Care Center at MorningView Village, Emerly is a graduate of Maryville High School in Blount County and stands as a shining example of dedication, leadership, and service.
Emerly’s high school career has been nothing short of remarkable. While maintaining an impressive 4.47 GPA, she successfully balanced rigorous academics with athletics, work, and community service. A standout on the soccer field, she played all four years and was honored with the prestigious Coaches Award during both her junior and senior years. This award recognizes the player who exemplifies selflessness, inspires teammates, and leads both on and off the field.
In addition to her athletic and academic commitments, Emerly has worked at Bruester’s in Maryville throughout high school and has contributed nearly 200 volunteer hours to various local organizations and events.
This fall, Emerly will be heading to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, to study Kinesiology and Physical Therapy. Her passion for the human body and its ability to recover from injury is deeply personal and professional. Emerly’s ultimate goal is to dedicate her career to helping others overcome physical challenges, regain their independence, and improve their overall quality of life.
We are incredibly proud to support Emerly as she begins this next chapter. We look forward to the day when she celebrates the victories of her own patients, just as we are celebrating her achievements today!
Congratulations, Emerly!
